The contemporary take on the epic Ramayana may have failed to create magic; nevertheless, the film does demand the stature of being a magnificent work of art. The sheer visual experience of Raavan leaves you breathless!! While the weak plot of the movie, especially in the first half could leave the audience restless, the mind-blowing cinematography coupled with an amazing performance by Aishwarya Rai cannot go unappreciated. Stunningly beautiful as she always is, in Raavan she carries off her 'natural Indian look' with much ease. Playing an Indian classical dancer married to a cop, her look in the movie is accordingly conceptualized by ace Indian designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee. It's simple, elegant and extremely Indian in appeal. Beautiful Sarees featuring wide borders paired with contrast Saree Blouse successfully imparts the look of an Indian married woman. At the same time the amazing Anarkalis by Sabyasachi with their dramatic and flowing silhouettes effectively portrays the artist in her.

For Aishwarya Rai's simple yet radiant look in 'Raavan', opt for a plain Saree with wide border coupled with a contrast Saree Blouse. Alternatively, a flared long Anarkali in a bright shade could also be chosen. Accessorizing with just a pair of small danglers would suffice. Neatly combed hair parted in the middle and styled in a simple braid at the back further enhances the Indian look. Neutral makeup with kohl rimmed eyes and a small round bindi would fetch you the beautiful Ragini's simple look in Raavan.
