My Name Is Khan
Karan Johar's fourth directorial venture that talks about one of the major consequences that terrorism leads to: prejudice. Diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome and despite his difficulty for social interaction, Rizwan Khan (Shah Rukh Khan) falls in love with and marries a Hindu woman named Mandira (Kajol). Post September 11 attacks, they are subjected to resentment and anger for the sole reason that their last name is 'Khan' and they belong to the Muslim community. Traumatic events compel Mandira to part ways with Rizwan. MNIK is all about Rizwan Khan's fight against this prejudice in order to win back his lady love.
With every new release, few outfits get their fair share of popularity and hence there is a certain anticipation to re-create a similar look. Likewise, Mandira's (Kajol) bridal ensemble in MNIK has evoked much curiosity. This is an attempt to help you re-create MNIK inspired simple yet beautiful bridal look.
Bright red saree with zari woven motifs featuring contrast golden borders with resham and zari embroidered floral design is paired with matching blouse. A simple necklace set featuring white and maroon kundans, few kundan bangles on both hands, small stone bindi, kohl rimmed eyes and shoulder length hair helps you achieve Mandira's (Kajol) bridal look.
Few other outfits are also included which are similar to the outfits the stars were spotted in during the promotion of this movie.
The outfits displayed here are not worn in the movie. This is an attempt to just copy the look of a particular ensemble shown in the movie.
